Thai food is addictive – seriously addictive. Here are some of our favourite dishes that we took great pleasure devouring on this trip!
One of our absolute staple favourite Thai foods was Pad Thai – the combination of crunchy vegetables and peanuts along with tofu and noodles made it either a great quick snack or a killer stand alone meal.
Mango sticky rice
If you have not tried mango sticky rice for the love of God go and try it now! The sweetness and all around greatness of this Thai dessert made it one of my favourite treats!
Grated carrots, papaya and other veggies coated with a spicy sauce and sprinkled with peanuts – papaya salad is simple, healthy and absolutely delicious.
Spicy pork with hot basil
In Thai cooking there are several different types of basil used in dishes. Hot basil is one of the tastiest – having a subtle peppery kick – in this dish hot basil is combined with red chilli, oyster sauce and a little sugar to make an absolutely addictive meal!
The Thai classic, shredded vegetables are lightly fried in oil before being wrapped in pastry and deep fried – then served with sweet chilli. It’s a seriously simple but effective hunger busting snack!
